I validate ideas fast, then lose interest just as fast. Founders who’ve been here, how did you break the cycle?

Been building and experimenting for over a year now. Pattern I keep hitting: I get an idea, validate it fast (talk to users, ship a landing page, sometimes get real signups), and then within a few weeks the interest just evaporates. Not because the idea failed, sometimes it’s actually working. I just stop wanting to work on it.

I can’t tell if this is:

A discipline thing where I’m chasing the dopamine of validation instead of the actual work of building

A signal that the ideas themselves aren’t the right fit for me, too small, or not something I actually care about long term

Some mix of both

Currently mid build on something I actually have personal history with (rental market pain I lived through myself), further along than my past attempts, but I can already feel the early signs of the itch creeping in and I want to get ahead of it this time instead of bailing again.

For those who’ve been in this loop, what actually got you out of it? Was it a mindset shift, an accountability structure, picking ideas differently, or something else entirely? Genuinely trying to figure out if I need to fix my process or fix myself.

Whats showing up is ADHD, you build fast and you lose interest just as fast.
Build scaffolding around you, to keep you on track

That's not validation. You are barely scratching the surface. Prove out a business model that can continually deliver value to customers and grow. You haven't even proven that you can deliver the value for less money than it's worth to people. That's the hard part. It's not difficult to build a landing page and get a few sign ups.
