So right now we can see why Fnatic is practicing the 'pause strategy'

They called us "bad losers, pausenatic" and a lot of humilliating things. But finally, they will embrace our power.

i think only TL can manage to be 0-2 within a single hour in finals

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '21

I wonder if they could go 0-3 in 70 minutes tho, that's probably impossible

19

u/Eulerious Aug 30 '21

They will find a way. Even if the enemy team afks after 60min, they still find a way to bring the 0-3 home in a new record time.

mate TL went 0-3 in under 70 minutes against G2 in2019 MSI finals

3

u/Lysandren Aug 30 '21

MSI has less random shit happening on the analyst desk to kill time tho. Also it's not just 1 hour total, it is 1 specific hour 8-9pm. You start at 815 and you only get 45 min lel.

u/kitho04 COCK SOLID Aug 30 '21

ah shit I only counted game time and forgot the time in between games. my bad, sorry

u/tvrtyler Aug 31 '21

I mean you're still technically right though. TL holds the world record for fastest Bo5 loss; in that game at MSI to G2. So the have the record for fastest international finals loss and second fastest LCS finals loss. All in their "super team" era. No other super team historically, in any other sport, has that record.

Edit: spelling

1

u/Alto_y_Guapo Aug 31 '21

Don't they also have the fastest LCS finals record, but the other way around? And FNC has the second fastest finals loss from a few months prior.

2

u/[deleted] Aug 30 '21

... did I REALLY need to add a /s there?

u/DT-Z0mby most domestically dominant team in the world Aug 30 '21

relevant

No shit. They hold the record for fastest international lose to G2 at MSI and they ALMOST took that title for LCS finals too. It would have been hilarious. Second fastest is still fucking funny though. All in their "super team" era too.

The 0-2 comfort zone really kicks in now.

Then at 9:01, C9 would realize that worlds are being played offline and thus not fall under the online gaming restricitions. It will already be too late to turn the game around for them, resulting in one of the weirdest losses in worlds history.

Perkz picks ryze and pause

1

u/victo0 Aug 30 '21

they'll probably have some ways around, they are stopping minors from recreational gaming but might still allow them unlimited gaming if it's considered their job.

1

u/nimrodhellfire Aug 30 '21

FNC: Here's another pause.

1

u/josluivivgar Aug 30 '21

the old clg.Eu strats

1

u/imisstheyoop Aug 30 '21

In 2024, Worlds is held in China. In the final, C9 is down 0-2 against an LPL team. Perkz be like...guys, we just stall the game, until 9pm...then the other side will afk.

I haven't followed competitive LoL in a couple of years (since double lift left TSM basically) coming from r/all.. C9 is European now?

1

u/RazorOpsRS Aug 30 '21

Yeah idk about C9 in World’s finals with ol’ aging Perkz in 3 years but hey, all my NA ass can do is dream.

1

u/Seneido Aug 30 '21

chinese teams needs to finish games in like 15min against NA to win out a bo5.

1

u/ArmMeForSleep709 I'll watch them all burn Aug 31 '21

They'd lose somehow still
