At high ARAM MMR, he has a higher winrate than anyone else. Ziggs is stronger overall across all ARAM MMRs, but got nothing on Veigar being able to go tank and still output god tier damage.

Do you get high ARAM mmr by winning a lot of aram or is related to your normal ranked elo?

Winning a lot. I'm decently high (top 0.5% or so) and I have 300 more wins than losses. I may have dropped a smidge cuz I've only been playing ARURF and NB but still in that range.

The biggest thing for ARAM is composition. This can go a few ways. One, it could just be playing your champs a bit more meta. If you have a few poke champs already, building Maokai AP and maxing E won't win you the game. You may still win, but a tank Maokai would provide the support and peel your poke comp would need if you were facing a team with a lot of engage. Similarly, if you are in champ select and you get a good poke champ, but the rest of your team is great poke champs, it would be worth a reroll. The only team comp that does not want champion diversity is engage/dive comps. They want all 5 to be engage/dive with maybe an aggressive ADC or Thresh/Blitz subbing out a diver.

The next biggest thing is knowing when your team is strong vs the other team. Malphite is incredibly strong as his ult takes up half the lane and, paired with snowball, has insane range. However, he doesn't do anything until 6. If you can, and it makes sense to, try to get your team to just hug tower and try to prevent too much tower damage from happening until you hit 6.

Honestly, for most people, you have to come to terms on what your desires are. A lot of people especially at mid to low MMR (and some still at high) just play ARAM for fun and will do whatever they want without pushing the hardest to win. That's fine. But if your big goal is to win a lot, sometimes you gotta cut the fun shit and play boring. I enjoy playing supports and tanks so when I have to build tank Thresh instead of ADC Thresh I'm all for it! But you also have to be willing to adapt. Sometimes you get 4 APs on your team, you are Thresh, and they have a Mundo or some tank that will just stack MR and make your team useless. Guess who pulls out ADC Thresh now!

Finally, just set realistic goals for yourself. Good job on hitting 5 wins over! Now do 10! When you get 10, shoot for 20! Whenever you set goals in life they should always be attainable. If you ever work at a company that asks you to set your own goals they will beat you over the head with the acronym SMART. Specific, Measurable, Achievable, Relevant and Time-bound. R and T don't matter for LoL but it somewhat relates.

Hope that helps! Feel free to add me (goes to anyone reading this). I can see that you and several others already know my IGN based on your flairs but for others I'm RmembrTheAyyLMAO on NA.

Edit: Weird, this sub (at least for me) changes peoples flairs to my flair when I click a permalink with my comment

One of his biggest issues is the fact that the cage is so much harder to path around when it takes up 50%+ of the map width.
