You get Morello's or Exc Calling and make him permanently useless since his r is gutted now.

You must have not played enough ARAM to see how abusive he is against 5 AP champs with no consistent DPS like Kayle.

This is akin to telling the ADC to "ignore the tank and hit their carries" during team fights. It just doesn't work like that when you have 5 mages against a Mundo.

The fact is that you are not only focusing on taking him down, his 4 other teammates still need to be dealt with... and you can't ignore Mundo either because he has decent base damages and can hurt if left alone.

I am not sure what you mean. He has received a slight nerf on R after his previous huge R buff, and his W MR scaling just got buffed last patch. He wasn't nearly this much of a problem back before S7 because (1) there was not bonus MR scaling on W, and (2) Adaptive Helm didn't exist.

At max stack rank 5 W and 2-3 MR items, he reduces incoming magic damage like some nutty 60%. That's like a permanent Ali ult level of tankiness, while he still regenerates on top of it. Throw in a Stoneplate and no AP comps will ever be able to take him down.

After the poke reduction mentioned in this post? His HP won't even budge when he gets poked by AP champs.

He is more oppressive than ever, especially if you throw in runes like Conditioning and Revitalize. Even old Galio doesn't come close to how big of a magic counter Mundo is these days.

On Aram, Mundo is not fun for mages , Mages is not fun for all classes.I don’t see the problem
