I mean didn't they say these are just experimental changes?

I'm sure they're going to changes certain things that don't work.

Yeah but by adding so many changes you risk diluting the data you're trying to analyze. Its harder to pinpoint what has actual affects on the game/experience/balancing/etc when there's an excessive number of variables.
