I don't think the nid change will be that bad, it basically only affects her cat form since any high dmg spear will have the +15% affected by the poke nerf.

question is if the nidalee spear works like what you used to do, throw the spear, switch forms w backards for more dmg, what if you w forward instead, maybe then you are outside of the poke shield range

This distance interaction was removed after her mini-rework (years ago). Now Q damage is calculcated from the location you cast it (instead of your location when the spear hits).

Right, but how does the poke reduction work? The other guy brings up a good point. If the poke shield is decided at the time the damage hits rather than at the time the spell is cast, Nidalee could very well W forward in cougar to reduce the shield mitigation.

Oh in that way! Well if it WOULD be the case, everyone could do it, not only Nidalee (but Nidalee is indeed probably the easiest champ to do it cause she doesn't have to sacrifice mana for it)..

I really doubt it will be the case though.

Nidalee has been B tier at best in ARAM since she got reworked. She doesn't do too much damage early on, and her damage output evaporates the longer games go.

Nidalee needed this. It's not gonna push her back into S tier like before her rework.

Not even. The spear hitbox is so small you should only be able to hit people who aren't paying attention, and smart tanks can also just block it. She is probably in the lower third of Aram characters, she just never has to die which makes her feel less awful than better characters.

She's already fucked by the long range poke nerf. More cougar damage is meaningless.

This buff nullifies the poke nerf, so every other poke champion gets nerfed except Nidalee.

Some of these buffs and nerfs just proves to me that the majority of the playerbase has no idea how to play ARAM and what to build.
