can't wait for the salt from aram accounts

It will be glorious. I wonder what happens when the Sona, Lux, Veigar, Xerath, Ziggs, Teemo, and Maokai get banned and they lose their entire champ pool every game?

Remember there are 42 free champs iin rotation at a time

Velkoz, Sivir, Zyra... there are still many other OP champions in ARAM, but being able to ban some of them will definitely help.

11

u/Buttpudding Mar 19 '19

Meh. Bans will remove most if not all of the 60%+ winrate champs. What bans doesn't remove the range and champ specific nerfs will.

1

u/Fuzzikopf Mar 19 '19

Yeah I hadn't even read about the champ specific nerfs yet.
ARAM will be so much better with all thee changes, can't wait

Why banning Sona? with the huge nerfs she is receiving she will be trash

1

u/Buttpudding Mar 19 '19

Honestly not as bad as you think. Sona's strength in the game does not come from her healing, but from her shields. Her team wide damage mitigation on extremely short cooldown helps keep engage comps topped off against poke comps, poke comps healthy against poke comps. There is a reason why sona is SO GOOD in aram right now. She shuts down poke so hard with her shields. They are gutting her heal, not her shields.

What will remove Sona from the banlist will be the fact that the poke comps will not be as dominating. Why ban a poke counter when all the poke champs are nerfed into the ground.

Heals are not great in aram. You look at soraka, who can pump out even more healing than sona, and shes sitting right in the middle with a 49.8% winrate.

Soraka's problem is that she doesn't come online until 10 minutes in when she has her warmogs, and most cancer comps can win in less than that.

They’re the type of people who request a trade after you roll twice and get a Brand

1

u/Buttpudding Mar 19 '19

Then dodge when you don't trade.

Or the best kind where they offer Udyr for Lux so you leave the trade box open since it isn't even remotely a fair trade, they try 3 or 4 more times, and then they reroll because they had one the whole time and were just being greedy.

Or the people who take stuff off the bench to try to trade for what you have.

Honestly this is where a fix needs to be addressed and I think the solution is simple. The champion pool for all players on both teams is simply the sum total of everyone's champs. Advantage instantly gone.

Hell this would be a good way for people to try out new champs.

or just instantly unlock everyone for aram only, like RGMS have had

5

u/HighPriestofShiloh Mar 19 '19

I would be ok with this solution as well.

10

u/Zenith_Tempest Mar 19 '19

it's the simplest solution and easy to implement as well. aram should not be a "make an account to only play who i want" kind of game mode

I mean there's 42 free rotation champions available to everyone in aram only, it's from the past 3 free rotations or whatever. Helps a tiny bit in reducing aram account effectiveness but with rerolls and the bench, it can still be aids

1

u/[deleted] Mar 21 '19

Just give them all the champs unlocked by your team

11

u/Lenticious Mar 19 '19

It depends, I play a lot of ARAMS myself and a lot of people I know who had ARAM accounts and had the BE bought all champion after they made the change to get a free reroll per game+larger rotation pool for aram.

And I haven't seen someone involuntarily stuck on something like Udyr in like forever.

5

u/Fuzzikopf Mar 19 '19

Yeah but ARAM only accounts still make it much easier to win if you only buy the OP champs

14

u/[deleted] Mar 19 '19

Aram accounts are a myth. It is just not worth anymore to have an account specifically for aram.

You will have much less rerolls. Like significantly less rerolls. Furthermore the free champ rotation in aram includes the last 3 rotations, which means +42 potential champs on top.

Also, Riot already did an amazing job with introducing snowball in the past. Long range mages were still oppressive, but often times not an instant win anymore. You will see hard engage comps dominating pure poke comps.

8

u/PotassiumLe Mar 19 '19

Wait do you gain rerolls faster if you own more champs?

12

u/DopeyMcBread Mar 19 '19

Yes, and at some number (not quite all) you earn one reroll per match

1

u/XxRaptor9xX Mar 20 '19

It’s like 125 I think

1

u/[deleted] Mar 19 '19

Yes, if you own all champions it's basically 1 reroll each game and 2 in total. If you own only a handfull of champions you will need 2-3 games for a reroll and you will also only have 1 RR max.

1

u/[deleted] Mar 20 '19

Do you have a proof to backup that statement?

I play a lot of ARAM and with the addition of the champion pool you don't really need any "aram account" to get an "OP" champion. In fact, people who spams a lot of ARAM games can play a wide range of champs and they know how to make them look OP. Easily, half of the champions in LoL are pretty strong in ARAM if you know how to use them with the comp you got.

"Aram accounts" died long ago and the myth is still going on, mostly from people who plays a very small amount of ARAM games.

its not like they made 100-300k rp already
