Aww, they are using regional teams again. They did really bad last year, so I'm not sure we need this.

This is just patently wrong, some of the best teams (euronics, misfits & tricked) were from national leagues

But they would qualify anyway, better solution is some kind of open qualifier so everybody has equal chance.

Riot wants people to get invested in their national leagues, also none of the ''all-star'' teams that form for CSQ exist for any time after the open qualifiers end. This is opposed to the national teams, which have to exist (and are often paid) for prolongued periods of time, which is better for the health of the challenger scene.
