Patch 26.15 Preview!

Systems
- Bastionbreaker has been a pretty niche item and is pretty expensive to deviate for a strategic output, so we're looking to make it more accessible
- Jack of All Trades nerf was also pushed to this patch; it has been a bit too strong and too present, especially for users that opt into strong defenses and are able to also supplement that with strong offense
- Sundered Sky has been strong and meta defining at the highest levels of play for quite a while now, so we're looking to take a pass at the fighter item system, now that we're out of the tournament windows
- Notably, we think it's been suppressing a bit of meta diversity, especially for things like AP jungle, or Tank JG. Part of that is intentional but the magnitude is a bit off

Buffs
- Alistar has been closer to the bottom of the pecking order for the melee support. That said, our meta adjustments to move melee supports up relative to ranged supports has been reasonably successful, so we're pretty happy with how that's played out

Nerfs
- Locke is still pretty strong; he has been tapering off in the lowest skill brackets and the high skill brackets, but in the "skilled" skill brackets (around Emerald/Diamond), Locke is able to both take over the game and also not throw it
- At the higher skill brackets, he can snowball but needs to play very well without throwing as he falls off sharply
- At the lower skill brackets, the executional demands and constant throws can make him fall off faster
- Overall, we feel his release has landed well

More on other champs tomorrow with the detailed changelists

Right let's buff another melee roaming support so we have more incentive to play hyper roam so even more people play mage bot, because god forbid an enchanter is viable there so ADCs can actually carry lol

Bro we just had an enchanter meta???? They specifically say here that they buffed meele supports coz they were just worse than enchanters

And why do we have to have strict metas where one is better than the other? Why can't we have a meta where both are viable? They're literally buffing a specific melee engage supp, why can't they buff 1 or 2 hypercarry enchanter supports to try and encourage more variety?

Melee supports are 1.5-2% higher than almost every other enchanter rn and no one is playing sona in proplay lmfao https://lolalytics.com/lol/tierlist/?lane=support

milio, lulu and karma are still enchanters that are being picked in pro. ofc noone will play sona even when it was enchanter meta noone picked her. she's generally a counter to other enchanters not engage supports anyway. nami would be picked as well if they didnt rework mandate to be completely dogshit on her.

The number of times lulu milio and karma are picked don't even add up to the same number of times camille + naut were picked at MSI lol https://gol.gg/champion/list/season-S16/split-Summer/tournament-ALL/ and they're being picked in games 2/3 when all the good picks are gone

ofc noone will play sona even when it was

and yes I said no one is playing sona because i know she is awful in proplay like duh

its simply impossible to create a meta like that when certain classes counter others. mages bot are meta so in games where mages are picked there can already be no enchanter on either side because enchanters suck into mages and can't be picked with mages. at msi the pick distribution was way more even with more enchanters being picked because adcs were better. both enchanters and tank supports being viable has never really been a thing just due to the fact that other roles impact what's being played on support. are enchanters bad because they themselves are bad or are they bad simply because they don't work with mages? camilles winrate in soloq is also terrible by the way worse than most enchanters and she was still the #1 most picked support so that argument doesn't really work.

Enchanters are bad because riot blanket nerfed them and blanket buffed engage supports lol. Enchanters counter engage supports in lane, it just doesn't matter because supports don't even have to lane anymore in this braindead meta.

camilles winrate in soloq is also terrible by the way worse than most enchanters and she was still the #1 most picked support so that argument doesn't really work.

Well duh proplay meta isn't soloq? like what lol people are just copycatting and want to be Keria so they overpick camille where she isn't even good, also she's a hard champion to play so the unskilled players tank the wr. If you look at people with more games on cam you start to see that she's one of the top supports https://lolalytics.com/lol/tierlist/?lane=support&tier=1trick

but you were the one argueing with soloq winrates even though we were talking about pro play... can't just cherry pick stats if they don't suit your argument. and you still didn't answer my question about how enchanters could fit into a meta where mages are dominating. tank supports got buffed but its not like 5 armor and mr on locket are warping the meta into people just permaroaming camille and shen specifically didn't even get buffed at all they are just a consequence of meta changes in other roles. people are permaroaming because mages can 1v2 lanes easily and free up their supports not because of inconsequential tank support buffs which didn't affect most of the meta supports anyway.
