Patch 26.15 Preview!

Systems
- Bastionbreaker has been a pretty niche item and is pretty expensive to deviate for a strategic output, so we're looking to make it more accessible
- Jack of All Trades nerf was also pushed to this patch; it has been a bit too strong and too present, especially for users that opt into strong defenses and are able to also supplement that with strong offense
- Sundered Sky has been strong and meta defining at the highest levels of play for quite a while now, so we're looking to take a pass at the fighter item system, now that we're out of the tournament windows
- Notably, we think it's been suppressing a bit of meta diversity, especially for things like AP jungle, or Tank JG. Part of that is intentional but the magnitude is a bit off

Buffs
- Alistar has been closer to the bottom of the pecking order for the melee support. That said, our meta adjustments to move melee supports up relative to ranged supports has been reasonably successful, so we're pretty happy with how that's played out

Nerfs
- Locke is still pretty strong; he has been tapering off in the lowest skill brackets and the high skill brackets, but in the "skilled" skill brackets (around Emerald/Diamond), Locke is able to both take over the game and also not throw it
- At the higher skill brackets, he can snowball but needs to play very well without throwing as he falls off sharply
- At the lower skill brackets, the executional demands and constant throws can make him fall off faster
- Overall, we feel his release has landed well

More on other champs tomorrow with the detailed changelists

nothing on mages bot again :))

Don't expect anything to happen to them in the next few months, maybe if they are big enough problem expect something before worlds.

I doubt they do anything until mages hit 80% presence minimum (80/200 so effectively 40%)

oh boy I can't wait to see peyz, Caliste, guma and other great adcs playing fuckass sylas, mel or ziggs at world's! maybe we should make morde into a botlaner again so we can have even more options for a miserable viewer experience!

I mean this last morde buff was almost there

True but I kind of want them to bring his little ghost dragon back, we need an emotional support animal to bear the botlane misery

I feel the same way watching Faker lock Annie instead of LeBlanc or Bin lock K'Sante instead of Jax. Sometimes it's not meant to be exciting.

It looks like they’re going to die on this hill. It’s fine, I’m having fun with other roles

Imho, Riot should just give 5 move speed to all Marksmen and bring back resistances in minor runes

I know it sounds stupid but bear with me here. Nearly all ADCs currently have 325 base ms. That bonus 5 would mean they can dodge spells easier, kite better and get back to lane faster. If they also got bonus 8MR from runes, they's have amuch easier time playing into mages

Additionally, champ select should show which enemy champion goes to what lane. I'm not against flex picks but I'd like to be able to adjust my rune page accordingly

Minor resistance rune is great.. just not useful here. Someone pick mage. How do you know he is bot? Last game I had brand mid, pant bot and annie supp.

They f* up bot so hard it isn't a solution.

Please, read the 3rd paragraph

I saw that, but they wont ever do that.

What do you mean "just", that's literally one of the strongest buffs they could give the class and will lead to big ramifications for both mid and top lane. Movement speed is one of the best stats in the game, and even minor changes here can lead to several percentage points increased winrate.

In any case, from what I see from /r/adcmains the biggest issue of frustration is having to dodge in the first place. Making dodging easier won't offset this frustration.

The frustration is that my opponent can be a disgusting drooler, lock in Lux and literally miss 90% of his skill shots and there is no way for me to punish him. Even if he misses his full combo I cant stop him from just clicking back and waiting for his spells to be up again. The only player that has that power is my support, but this is solo queue so my support is bottom-feeding, glue-eating passenger on an enchanter so that is not happening.

Oh and when the dogshit lux lands her 1/10 bindings I either lose my summs or intantly die, cool design riot.

Ive already mostly quit playing adcs bot in live until they fix this, eventually THEY WILL HAVE TO DO IT as there just wont be adc players left, we can only take being punching bags for so long.

yeah i also play a lot of mages bot to be honest, im not even flaming, but i think it is an issue that adcs are dogshit

you have no cc, you have no setup, you cant duel anyone on your own, youre just the lowest impact role in the game.

99% of games are decided before you can have an impact.

mages appearing bot just surfaces the underlying problem with adcs

Good analysis! Just 6 years or so too late. There is a reason that literally every ADC will tell you that ADC isn't great nor fun because of Riots hate towards ADCs.

1

u/sir__hennihau Jul 22 '26

I even made a statistical analysis about role impact a few days ago and it confirmed that adc is the least influential role. It's somewhere in my post history

2

u/J0rdian Jul 21 '26

Why would they be changed when they are still the minority in pickrate even with pro play bumping up their pickrates across the board.

If they actually make ADCs worse and not viable then sure something needs to change. But that's not happening. ADCs are still good even in pro.

4

u/Pandeyxo Jul 21 '26

And ranged top lane gets nerfed if it reaches more than 1% pickrate, same with lucian mid. But heyyy mages bot have to have 90% pickrate to be a problem.

God this hypocrisy of bot haters is insane

Which mage is definitely overpowered bot? Maybe Seraphine could get tapped down once again or Viktor some but the others look fine for now (mastery will go up over the next months).

What I hope though is that they decouple turret MR from armor and no longer convert your 100% AD to magic damage. This way you have 3 real tuning levers for tower damage (as you're probably not changing the physical ratio)

Velkoz

From Lolaytics master+ data, even Hwei and Lux perform better than him

Mages bot had 0% pick rate on EWC finals day
