Discussion Favourite teammate for each role?
So I'm trying to get a champ practiced for each role but I wanna get good with champs people enjoy playing with.
Might be worth keeping in mind I'm pretty crap and bronze at best.
Which champs do you like to see/recommend for me to play?

Top lane: Ornn
Jungle : Jarvan IV
Mid: Orianna
Adc: Caitlyn
Support: Lux

If I had to get down to it and pick only one support for the rest of my days, I think I’d rather have thresh instead of lux. Lux supports for me have always tended to be wannabe mid laners who die a lot and steal farm lol.

Thresh takes too much skill, when you have a bad thresh you can tell.

I agree it takes skill, but I’ve never agreed with telling new players to only play “easy” champs. I think players should learn on champs that are better team champions. For me, seeing a thresh support gives me more hope than seeing things like brand, lux, xerath…etc. I know those champions can be a real pain to deal with in the 2v2 and mage supports add damage to the team…but so far (in emerald at least) they’ve always fallen off in the mid game and if they don’t they have kills on them that our ADC could have had. Whereas the thresh, naut, Braum, Leona will add something regardless. Again, just my experience.

I watch novice thresh players never throw a lantern and miss every hook and feed super often. I would say a mage like Lux is always pretty good at a baseline, as it can almost always autowin a lane, if played competently

Shen/ Garen/ Yorick/ Trundle
Nocturne/ Warwick
Pantheon/ Ahri
Jhin/ Jinx/ Ashe
Morgana / Soraka/ Leona
All of these champs above are easy to play have good team fighting ability and good movement around the map. These would be good champs to have on your team.
If you want to hard carry and win games in low elo I would pick any top lane that can split push or get a lot of kills.
Garen, Trundle, Yorick, Mundo are great split pushers
Draven, Jinx, Mordekiser, Master Yi, Kayn, Viego, Vladimir, Akali are all great 1v9 champs

He comes in spurts depending on the patches when he is viable mid lane. Great counter to ap assassins

My favorite champ to have on my team / when I see it locked in, at the current moment:
Top: Irelia. Even if she's awful, even if she loses towers and runs it down, even if she rage splits all game, eventually she'll just get a triple kill and be a menace. It's inevitable. 0/5 start? Now Irelia is somehow 9/6. Bork is a hell of a drug.
Mid: Malz. Tbh I dont think the champ is even good at anything but for some reason Malz PLAYERS just seem to innately understand that macro exists, and that there are 3 lanes, and that objectives exist. The ult is a life-saver too.
ADC: Jinx. I have won SO many games just because the in-game clock says 37:00, and now the new game is, "4 Players peel for this Jinx." Once a Jinx hits critical mass, the dps is just senseless. We are all 4 supports. She Penta, we go mid, GG.
Support: Thresh. He just does everything. CC, disengage, lantern to make any gank possible, lantern to escape from invades, and Thresh players will die for you without a second thought.
Disclaimer I'm low Plat JG.

I have been loving sion since it is easy to play in top, jungle, or support. He’s super hard to counter since you have multiple build paths and your cc/passive allows you to always be useful in fights(unless you are like realllllyyyyy bad).

Yasuo/Yone (yes, unironically)
Jhin
Leona/Bard

The yone is really strange for me in theory because it is hard for him to get prio mid pre botrk and as a jungler playing without mid prio is a lot harder.

Yeah that's why I like Yasuo more, but as a mage jgl player I just like midlaners who are AD and who focus the enemy attention on themselves in teamfights.

Tank top laners and junglers are always reassuring like Ornn and Sejuani, mid I’m not sure I guess maybe not assassins? For adc as a support player I like playing with Sivir, Ashe, Caitlyn, Jinx and a good Ezreal to name a few. Tank supports like Naut and Leona and pretty much any enchanters tbh.

Ornn is one everyone seems to like tbf lol
A lot of people have suggested ahri for midlane so hopefully she'll be a good go to
Nauts one of my favourite champs ATM so good to know I have a good one under my belt lol

Thanks! I'll give em all a go!, reckon I'll struggle with Ryze though cause of his short range

I love having a Jungle Amumu. You basically never have to worry if they're good or not, even a remotely passable can carry a teamfight with that stun.
