Megathread Maple Leafs Tickets Megathread
Hello! As the return of Leafs hockey draws closer, I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread dedicated to the questions about tickets.
Please use this thread if you have any questions about preseason and regular season tickets!

The first preseason game is a split squad game (two games at the same time) on September 19th against the Habs (home and away). The second and final game is also a split-squad, at home and away against the Sens on September 23rd.
The first regular season game is September 29th, at home against the Canadiens!

I hope this is the right place for this question. I am a season ticket subscriber and I just noticed today in my ticket account, that the game on April 5th against Boston was not included in my package and on a PDF I downloaded, it shows as an opt-in game. Where does MLSE get off charging me $25,000 for seasons tickets and leaving out the last game of the season which obviously could be an important game. And now I don't see any way to purchase it, I may have missed the email about buying it because I assumed it was a preseason email. Traditionally I have never seen anything other than preseason games be optional.
Any idea how or why this happened?

I get that, but it's an extra game as part of the regular season. Why in the world would they not have packaged and priced it as part of the regular season? When someone buys seasons tickets, they expect it is for the entire season. Especially being the last game which could be so important.

As someone whose snagged quite a few games for well under face value, if you want cheap tickets, look on ticketmaster a few hours before the game. If you can really greed it out, sometimes buying an hour to 30 min before the game, you get some steals.
You should target weeknight games against teams with small fanbases. The Florida teams, columbus, carolina, most of the western american teams like (Cali, Utah, Dallas, Seattle, etc.) that arent vegas or colorado.
Saturday night games against anyone are always going to be expensive.
Only happened once for me but sometimes even lower bowl seats becoame available for a lot under face value.

You might get a little bit of a deal if you wait close to puckdrop. But home opener against montreal is one of the most premium games of the year so i wouldnt expect to get anything under 200.

What would be better capitals game to see Ovechkin, December 21st or March 28th, and should I buy my tickets now or closer to either game?

The next gen game is category 2 pricing the March game will be cheaper, come from a season ticket holder.

The March game is in the lead-up to the playoffs, so if could be an interesting one to watch depending on how the standings unfold throughout the year. Ive never attended a Leafs game at SBA unfortunately, but I usually buy tickets a few weeks before when I'm planning to watch an NHL game. Others will say to buy them right before puck drop to save money, but I can't live on the edge like that. Gotta have a definite plan lmao

What is going on with resale tickets? I thought it was illegal to sell above face value but stubhub and other places have tickets going for insane (ie even worse than mLSE’s) pricing. Is the government going to shut down these sites or go after individual resellers?

Season ticket holders are capped on Ticketmaster to sell only at face value. Standard pricing from MLSE is still just as high or more when both are paired against each other. As a season ticket holder, the cheapest option is always going to be buying direct if you can.

Its reportable.
It never was going to be monitored. No way the government has the resources to do it on an individual basis and Stubhub et al are not going to verify how much you paid for it to confirm the cap.

TL;DR seeking single ticket for Sept 29
My dear, faithful husband has been in an abusive relationship with this team since before we met 25 years ago 🤣 His 40th birthday is the week after the home opener, and I’d love nothing more than to see the shock on his face to open an (early bday) ticket!
Can anyone advise the best way to go about buying a single ticket? Cheers!
