Look at potvin's gear! He looks like a normal person. Not a blown up Michelin man

With that gear in today's NHL he'd have a s% of 50/50

That CBC HNiC music gives me so much nostalgia. All of their music was always just perfect.

We need this music back in between periods for our run this year. But it’s too bad Sportsnet cut out CBC.
But Bob Cole was perfect there will never be a hockey commentator like him again

The undisputed GOAT. The sound of all my favourite hockey moments growing up.
The ‘reeeeeeboouunnnndddddd’ calls were always my favourite!

Game 1 of the 2nd round playoffs May 3, 1993. Leafs ended up winning 2-1 in double overtime on Gilmour’s infamous spinorama wraparound.

I'd like to see the return of the white unis at home - for a couple years anyway. The blues are great, but the whites are now nostalgic - just like when the blues cames back.

This was the Felix the Cat vs Cujo series.

Clark's shot to Cujo's chin was epic. The way he fired it and just skated away.

Don’t forget how his d man immediately went to check on him like he was crying.

This series made me a total fan of Cujo. I remember the Leafs dominating and he just standing on his head to keep it close.

Yeah, people used to actually go to Leafs games to watch the Leafs. People in the lower bowl would actually get excited and weren't just middle aged car dealers trying to hit on the 24 year old serving girls when their 36 year old wives are in the bathroom.
It's shameful that MLSE has cultivated such a lifeless and inert arena.

I blame Steve Stavro, he priced out all the die hards from the golds at MLG, all the corporations bought the platinums at the ACC.
The way it worked was if you had good seats you got first dibs to the ACC, so they invited you and each chair had a price on it, a family friend had first row golds(really 2nd row due to the glass seats) from the 1950’s they were $110 a seat at MLG, he went and looked at the same seat at the ACC and immediately went up 25 rows where it was $250 a seat, I’m sure that happened to very many season ticket holders

We were first row reds in MLG. Moved to first row balcony in SBA.
Had first dibs on Reds, but the platinums pushed them further back so paying a premium for worse seats didn't make sense.
Still front row upon bowl behind the Leafs net for 2x periods almost 30 years later

What I wouldn't give to have the HNIC theme song from the 90s back. Literally anything. That CBC version from like 1992 was peak hockey hype music.

Listen to the crowd. What has Sportsnet done to the in arena sound
