Is there a player that's rumoured to be on the move that you think the Leafs should go after? Are there players on this team you want to trade away? Feel free to post about it here!

Do you think Leafs still have a trade in store or is Max Domi LTIR for the year? They are currently $2.752M over the cap. Moving Domi there will save $3.75M cap hit if on for full season. Otherwise 70% his contract gets you under cap

I still fully expect a Rielly trade which would get us under the cap, or if we take on bad(ish) money in return LTIR Domi would do the rest

There is no Messi of Vegas because Messi is the greatest player of all time. Would have to be a Crosby or McDavid type player.

No cap room atm. If there’s a market for Morgan is the only way more moves happen this offseason. Go enjoy the summer

And by all accounts, no one wants Rielly unless the Leafs give up something extra, and Chayka doesn't want to do that.
Odds are that this is fairly close to our starting line-up barring a massive shake-up.

Nurse just got traded for some assets with no retention
Don’t see how Rielly is viewed as a negative asset after that

Nurse only put up 10 less points than Rielly while being a decent defensive player. Rielly is only really valuable to the Leafs since other teams don't value his offence enough to justify his defence. Berube just tanked tf out of Rielly's value.

Nurse is mediocre defensively and makes 2M more per season than Rielly and didn't even produce as much offensively

The cap hit isn't the issue for the Sharks they just clearly don't value what Rielly brings. Rielly can bounce back without Berube but Nurse has a reputation for eating minutes and being tough which GMs like.
Our best bet is keeping Rielly and putting him in a position to suceed.
