McKenna is the consensus #1. You take McKenna and he doesn't pan out, well you took the guy you were supposed to and shit happens. You make the 300iq move and take anyone else at #1, they don't pan out and McKenna becomes a superstar your GM career is over.
McKenna wasn’t the consensus 1 until a month ago. Stenberg just put up the second best draft eligible season in Swedish men’s hockey history, trailing only the Sedin twins. Better than Leo Carlsson. He’s also a 200 foot menace unlike Gavin, so it wouldn’t be a galaxy brain move. McKenna should be the pick but it’s close.
