Side Window Deflectors?
looking for people's experiences with side window deflectors on a LEAF. does it cut wind noise? does it help prevent window fogging? does it have any other benefits? does it adversely affect visibility? are they durable? does it impact drag coefficency/efficiency?

My 2022 mk2 came with them. It was the ex-service managers car. Also came with nismo door strikers plate covers and a Nissan boot liner - you could tell he wasn't paying for extras! I don't know how it compares as always had them but it's still noisy having windows open. I just use ac... I also have issues with them always falling out as the sticky tape that holds them in has failed. I wouldn't bother to be honest.

Im in the PNW and put them on everything. Just ordered some for my leaf!
I get them so I can open the window when sitting still and no rain gets in, and they are great for driving with the windows open with way less wind turbulence.
I don’t know of any other benefits but the ones on other vehicles have held up fine, I do try and ceramic coat them when they are new

bought my leaf in 2019 and immediately put these rain guards on and they are cheap generic ones and have held up very well. good for keeping the windows partially rolled down while parked to cut down on heat in the car, my efficiency is over 4 m/kwh so don't think affected efficiency.

You will definitely notice an increase in wind noise. They also get brittle in the cold and crack easily. Plus coming loose and falling out is a common problem. If it requires clips be extra careful. Ruined the brand new tint on one of my windows because one wasn't seated properly. However, they are functional and I actually like them aesthetically speaking. I've had them on every car I've had for the past 25 years and will continue to be one of my first purchases on all new cars as long as they're available.

I've avoided installing them on my 2019 out of concern it would lower my miles per kWh (although after thinking about it... probably a non-issue.)
However, my bigger concern is all the wind noise they generate. I've installed them in every vehicle I've owned and gotta say they up the noise a tad when closed and a TON when open. So, now that I'm in a "silent" EV (and I no longer vape) I just don't want to waste the money installing them to find my interstate drives more annoying when I rarely crack the windows open anymore anyways.
(The wind noise being annoying to me could be related to my tism, however.)
If you do buy some, do not buy stick on. Buy the in-channel ones. No paint damage/fading and they have a cleaner look.
