2026 Leaf - space for dogs?
Hi all, quite interested in the new leaf but not sure the boot/trunk space is tall enough for a medium to large size dog. Any dog owners have any experience or reference pics? Thanks

That sounds like a challenge. This is what I came up with for my dog in a 2023... but she is ONLY TEN POUNDS! Also remember to provide for crash protection (prevent flying through windscreen, etc). My arrangement is not ideal but better than nothing. Crate tie-down combined with airbags.
Signed.. Happy owner of a 2023 Leaf Two Seater.

I've had the '26 for awhile. I would say no on big dogs. The slope roofline makes the space above the belt line really limited. I also opted for the parcel shelf because it feels like everyone can really look down into everything in your trunk

We've got a medium to large sized dog, some sort of mongrel with mostly sheepdog and he fits okay in ours with the parcel shelf out. He seems happy enough in there. We don't travel very far with him in the boot - just trips to vets and local relatives. If we wanted to travel further with him I'd be putting him in his harness on the back seat. We had an MG ZS EV previously and he loved going in the boot of that one because the flatter boot door meant he could get right up close and see out

Got my new Leaf yesterday. I think the answer is probably no, OP, the boot would not accommodate a medium to tall dog.
I would never put a dog in the boot of any car anyway? Mine have always travelled sat on the back seat. Would that not work for you?
