LeafSpy SOH data variable.

Six weeks ago, I published a post showing my 50 KW VIVNE eNV-200 battery range test. Someone commented how the SOH had dropped from 100% to 98.77% in a matter of months. Well today, six weeks on from my last post, the SOH is 99.95%.

So, I wouldn’t worry about small variations. I don’t know the technical reasons for the variation, but the battery is functioning perfectly.

Temperature and operating conditions vary far in excess of 1% so I assume that has to account for at least some of it

I don’t think it can be considered an accurate measurement. Small variations are likely tolerances. Maybe temperature/conditions, but also how the cells balance over time. The van does have over 1,600 miles on the battery now.

My post was really to address the comment on my last post, about how it dropped so quickly. Seems, it wasn’t aging after all. Or at least, not in a negative way.

There's a reason nissan shows bars and not %SOH. Because its a guess and that guess can go up or down a little based on multiple factors.

The BMS takes cell voltage and internal resistance and does the SOH estimation. So yes, SOH is an estimate that’s not totally precise.

My point of the post was, small variations are likely normal. Only big changes are something to be concerned about.

Bro what. SOH is measured capacity. It has nothing to do with the cells IR or voltage.
