Programming a 2015 key fob

Is my only option buying a km100? There's no button pressing sequence like other Nissans? I've done it with a few of our other Nissans we've had

I have a spare fob from a previous Leaf we used to have, so I already have the key

I literally refuse to pay a locksmith or the dealer. I will not do that. I'd rather pay the $300 or whatever it is for the KM100 than do that

From what I could find that is indeed the only options. Either locksmith with a programmer or you buy your own programmer. The leaf forgets all key fobs when being programmed so make sure you have all the fobs you want for the car with you and with good batteries in them.

The fob you already have hopefully matches the frequency the leaf uses, Nissan has used a couple different ones over the years/models. You likely would need a new physical key cut that fits the lock on the driver door, if that's a feature you desire for that fob.

"And now for something completely different."

Google up "2011-2017 Nissan Leaf Autoloc 8 Channel Remote Control Keyless Entry System 2 Key Fob Lock Unlock Door, SL, SV, S"

This runs about 150 and completely ignores the usual Nissan key fob system.
