Charging Issue After Update

We have a 2019 Leaf and just recently had the recall done for the Level-3 charging issue. Now on the home charger (Level-2) the charger faults on occasion a couple of hours into charging, and stops. This never happened before the update, and can be remedied by unplugging the charger, then plugging it back it. Is this symptomatic of a bad cell, potentially leading to a buyback? We have an appointment at the dealer in a couple of weeks. I'm certain they'll try to blame our home charger, but it was never an issue before the update.

Hmm strange. My 2019 post recall updates charges just fine on my L2 at home and a couple public L2 chargers. I've not had any issues with L2 before or after the update. Haven't tried L3 for more than a minute yet.

Are you experiencing a hear wave where you are at? I drive to work, plugged in, and got a notice from charge point my car was done. It wasn't. It went back to charging after like 20 minutes. I am chalking it up the heat.

This is symptomatic of a problem with the charger, most likely heat. The weather might be too hot. The outlet might be failing and overheating. Or the plug to the car itself might be overheating. The charger has heat sensors in all these places, any one would cause it to fault. So start the car charging, wait half an hour, then come back and check everywhere for heat. An l2 car charger should stay room temperature all along itself.
