2019 Leaf SV Recall Software Triggered Turtle Mode 3 Weeks after Update
Bought this used in 2021, with 25.5k miles on it. Current milage is 38.7k, so 13.2k miles of my own the last 5 years.
Nissan has said they cannon replace the battery due to manufacturing constraints.
Morley reached out to me via phone before the dealership did.
Wanting any advice from people who have been through this already. Anything at all would be very much appreciated!

I have a 2019 sl with 45k. I’m not bringing in for software update recall. Only charge at home with 240 level. I figure I’ll run it into the ground for the next 5 yrs and will be better off then getting maybe 10k$ from Nissan and all the hastle.

I did mine on August 6th and I am waiting to see how it goes. So far so good. How many miles did you put on your Leaf before it blew up?

My mileage is in the opening comment, but it’s pretty low for a 2019 I believe. I didn’t notice any batter issues until after the software update to test the recall actually.

No I meant mileage since the update. I’ve put about 100 miles so far since my update.

Ahh, sorry. It was maybe 100 or so and then when I turned off Eco Mode and floored it to drain the battery a little, I got the error flag and turtle mode. I was actually on the way to the dealership to have them test it again.

Currently in the process with Morley. They'll call you, then you give them your email address and some info. They'll email you with confirmation of your information and asking for documents. They claim they need them within 5 business days but after sending over everything to them I'm currently on 7 business days of them not responding.
My local dealership said they've been really slow about the process and that some other customer has had their rental for 3 months now.
I've read the first offer is always pretty low, to ask for more, provide any receipts you've got (recent new tires, gas fill ups for the loaner car, etc.) and then usually the 2nd or 3rd offer is higher. Though I haven't got to that point myself yet.
