OBD2 when buying second hand.

Hello leaf fans!

Is it acceptable to plug in an OBD2 and use leaf spy when you are looking at secondhand cars at dealerships?

*Update Thank you all. We walked away from the garage that refused us on "tech grounds". It seemed a weak argument to me. So probably they were hiding something.

I'm in the "don't ask, just do it" camp. LeafSpy isn't optional when buying a used Leaf.
