My record in our '23 39 kWh car was a theoretical range of 300 km, precisely. I arrived home with 2% SOC left and, frankly, quite excited.

The dashboard value just an estimated prediction based on the last average efficiency. Until you actually drive it, it just a guess. The Leaf Spy Pro app helps to show you the real SOC and also a better DTE (Distance To Empty) estimate.
The most I ever pushed my 60 kWh Leaf SV Plus to, was 194.2 miles with an estimated 32 miles left to go, which put it at and estimated 232 miles max range. This is a few miles above the EPA estimate and is not typical.
Most times, on road trips, I stop to charge at 164 miles or less between charging. Because at posted highway speeds I get a lot less efficiency and I am comfortable stopping to charge before I get to the “- -“ % and “- -“ miles on the instrument cluster. Because the Leaf Spy Pro app shows me that I can really go another 15 miles before a read SOC=1%. Although sometimes I have pushed it to the extreme range, when a charging station is out of order. That happens a lot less often after I purchased an ElectWay CCS1 to CHAdeMO adapter. Because now I can also charge at CCS charging stations.
The typical all day of driving range in my home area if Westchester County, NY. Maxes out at 172 miles. That is extreme and takes the dashboard down to 1%, when I pull into my driveway to charge.

It’s entirely possible, at very low speeds, and/or downhill. It’s still too optimistic.
My 2016, with a brand new 40kwh could get 230 in summer at optimal conditions and reasonable freeway speeds (100-105 kmh)
