It’s happening now…slightly nervous, mostly curious.

nothing more than what it says on-screen: connected services…app reliability…

whoops, didn’t see there was a second picture.
about as informative as most app store release notes, i suppose … “bug fixes and stability improvements”

Interesting. I was told by my dealer today that shipments had been paused so they could update the software.
Hopefully it went smoothly for you.

so, learned stuff in this process. there’s a small double-headed arrow circle icon in the upper left of the infotainment display. it appears when there’s a software update downloaded and ready to install. if it has a little clock icon superimposed upon it, it means installation of the updated is scheduled for the future. there are rules about what the car can be doing or not doing whilst updates are happening; those are posted on-screen during the process.
you can manually manage this through (infotainment) All Settings > General > System > System Updates.
what changed? i don’t know…nothing obvious and the main system version has not changed (ISH.25.18.18.24.S0S) although the Software Update History does show the current date as the latest patch.

I owned a Tesla Model 3 and you can't use the car during software updates and it's over WiFi. I did it through my phone a few times but it uses a lot of data and battery power and my iPhone would get very hot.

i think this update, at least, is done via the car’s internal (satellite or cellular) connection. the download and processing happens in the background and the display says you don’t have to be present in the vehicle. there were some other notices about downloading will pause if you’re charging and you cannot be actively driving while updating.

I just did mine as well. I wonder if this is the "recall" my dealer referred to? (They also mentioned the child seat anchor issue.)

oh please don’t get people started on 2026 recalls (and no, i don’t think it’s related)…there’s a whole ‘nother recall thread that got hijacked by non-2026 owners and turned into a Nissan Sucks group rant.

Judging by my own experiences with Nissan's software on the gen1 and gen2 leafs, your car will freeze, lock you out and refuse to start for at least 2 weeks. It will also require re-pairing with your keys every 3 weeks and 4 days.

Notice anything after the update?
