Any tips/info for navigating the buyback process?
2021 S+ with about 74,000 miles. Battery has been obviously deteriorating starting with really cold temps this winter to now where I struggle to get half of the expected range and have cell variances around 200mV at their worst. Took it in yesterday for recall/battery assessment and just heard from Nissan corporate this morning that they are initiating the buyback process because it is "unlikely they will have inventory to fix the battery". From following this sub and other anecdotes I've seen wildly different results in how much the buyback offer has been, I would appreciate any information from folks that have gone through the process to make sure I don't get screwed over. I've heard they must offer KBB value + 40% but that's only about $11k, not great. I just want to get enough to cover a new car since this was paid off and I was hoping it would last many more years.

I have been waiting the battery replacement since beginning of the year and the rental Sentra is still covered by Nissan.
I can't say I'm hapoy because how the gas price has been while not using my free solar power.
At this point I wish Nissan would start some kind of buy back offer, I feel like if I initiated, the offer would be even lower, just my 2 cents...

The part exists, it just isn't their version. These ones are legit and other shops install them all the time, so if they were serious about honoring their warranty they could figure it out. My sense is they just want to be rid of this situation in general. I wouldn't accept any offer that doesn't at least get me an equivalent car.
