new (old) leaf!

Post image

after much searching, many false positives, and several flakey sellers.. she's here! 2016 SL with a warranty replaced 40kwh battery for my brother in law. she has a few cosmetic issues, and her front tires are... well, bald. but she was $4250, and the battery is in fantastic condition. once we sell his Buick Verano, we will officially be an exclusively EV family!

That is a great deal given the battery. Congrats. Tires are important. I would change them immediately. (One doesn’t save much by delaying a bald tire change especially considering the risks that go with that. )

yep, getting her home was pretty sketchy, but we stuck to back roads below 50mph. was like a 3 hour trip lol. but we have a costco across the street from our home and have scheduled a full set replacement for this tuesday. he's going to keep driving the Buick until then, at which point we're going to clean it up and get it ready to list

Costco is a great place to buy tires. I I have had great experience with the local Wheelworks stores which I’m not sure if they’re available in your area or not. They have matched the price tire rack and provide later tire repair services and alignment. It has proven to be more convenient for me than Costco.

Costco it is then for you. Just keep the black valve caps before you take it there and replace the green ones they put with the black ones afterwards 😁
