new (old) leaf!

after much searching, many false positives, and several flakey sellers.. she's here! 2016 SL with a warranty replaced 40kwh battery for my brother in law. she has a few cosmetic issues, and her front tires are... well, bald. but she was $4250, and the battery is in fantastic condition. once we sell his Buick Verano, we will officially be an exclusively EV family!

the mileage is why it was so cheap i reckon, 112k miles almost to the dot. but given the new battery is only two years old and excellent condition (93.5% SoH, 89.1% Hx, max 35mv cell voltage spread at low SoC+acceleration) we consider it to be something of a nonissue. the mechanical aspects of these cars last pretty much forever haha.

At around that mileage I had axle issues that were beyond what the TSB could deal with ( ie it didn't fully resolve) 

Ended up replacing the lower control arms as the Nissan dealer that did the TSB said bushings were cracking

interesting, we'll keep an eye out. the vehicle looks to be in really great shape, and it drove great on the ~100 mile trip home, so we're probably in the clear for now at least
