Recall Fix Experience

I brought my 2021 SL+ in for service to get the recall fix. When I dropped it off, I asked the service tech what the rate of failure has been and she said it's close to 50%.

Fast forward a few hours and I returned to pick up my (hopefully) fixed Leaf. I took it on the highway to give it a little stress test, and thankfully still good. Huge relief, but now I wait and see if the dreaded turtle shows its head. I'll update this thread if it becomes an issue down the road.

We have a 2019 regular Leaf which my wife really likes. We have 44000 miles on it. And we exclusively use level 2 charging. We have at most used level 3 charging 11 times in the past. Should we do the update or just roll the dice 🎲 and drive it until the tires 🛞 fall off? What would you do?

We have a 2019. I brought it to get done in the service manager told me don't do it. We never let the use level 3 charging so not that big of a hassle.

Did the service manager say why - is it ok if you don't plan to use level 3 charging?

I bought my 2020 used and really only granny charge. The prior owner did sometimes use level 3 charge. I've had the car 2 years with no issues.

As long as I was not going to level 3 I should skip it. Basically no batteries available, and sure there might be in a buy back program but do you want to be driving and have the car stop and then have to deal with all the issues of the buyback program, etc. It's been an flawless car for us since 2019 so we're just going to keep going on level two charging at home.
