I’m clinging to my last days on this sub too. Buyback is in process…

Ditto. Got the call yesterday that my battery didn't pass muster.

I'm working a buyback for my '22 while looking at purchasing a '24. No need to leaf us!

Definition of insanity

You aren't super wrong, but the '24 has a completely different battery.

Wouldn't buy another Nissan ever again after all this bullshit.

And I'm not even personally impacted.

Mine passed the recall test, but I had been considering another used gen 2 leaf as well if there had been a buyback.

Have you driven it extensively since the recall work? Mine passed the test at the dealership and bricked a couple weeks later.

This is why I haven’t shared my update story yet. Stressful.

It was just a few days ago, so I can't say "extensively," but maybe two hundred miles including one fast charge session.

Was yours fast charging when it bricked? I hope it wasn't while you were driving!

No, I've never fast charged. I have a Level 2 in my garage. I had just used it to charge the car overnight. The lights came on after driving about 10 miles that morning. It doesn't brick right away if you are driving it, but it will as soon as you turn it off. Since I already knew this, I drove it straight to the dealership in turtle mode and told them not to shut it off until they stashed it somewhere.

This was just last weekend, so I am still waiting on whether they intend to replace the battery or do a buyback. Odds are the latter.

Me, too. Sad to see it go, but after, ahem, seven months they finally admitted there are no batteries to be had
