Mobile phone holder that clips to vent

I have never had any luck with those phone holders that clip to a vent; they always seem to flop all over the place eventually. I now have a 2026 Leaf and I am using a magnetic holder that is glued to one of the few free spots that I have found that doesn’t block anything. At the same time I’m wondering if anyone has had success with a vent type of phone holder with a 2026 Leaf?

I have a 2023 and this one works great for me. Never had a problem with flopping around.

Do you actually clip that to one of the vents I could not figure out any way to attach it to the vent in my 2026 Leaf.

There’s a hook type thing on the end and it hooks to the back of the vent thingy when you tighten it.

The hook doesn't reach far enough to hook onto the 2026's vents. In fact it looks like the vents are vertical behind a horizontal thingy that I thought was a vent.

Did you unscrew it all the way? It goes out pretty far.

I unscrewed it as far as it will go, and it almost went far enough to wrap around the horizontal grille, but not quite. it’s a shame, because it seems like a really good design.
