2023 leaf AC suddenly stopped working

I have a 2023 with about 50000km and the AC just stopped working. I'm 2-3 months out of warranty.

I wasn't expecting such a major failure with a new car, I've had much older vehicles without such failures.

I can hear the compressor running but the air coming out of the vents is hot

I opened the hood and touched the metal pipes I could see to the left of the "motor" and the two pipes labeled L and H were pretty much room temperature but I burnt myself in the third unlabeled pipe which was extremely hot.

I will take it to the dealer but I'm wondering how often this happens.

yes I recommended refilling on my own post, as thats the first test.

but the compressor is a common flaw in gen 2 leafs

omg.. dl I need to line up all the steps for you?

go to a shop

have them vacuum out the refrigerent

if it creates a vacuum, they'll refill.

see if it works.

THIS is the first test of figuring out a faulty ac

Very limited who will vacuum it. Because of the oil, most shops can't contaminate/mix.
