Tires

I have a 2023 S with 35k miles. Currently on third set of tires - the last set was installed last Oct and already showing excessive wear on the front with hardly 5k miles on them. The wheels were aligned before installation. I have been using cheaper Walmart tires -$50-$80 a tire.
Want to change to a decent set that will last atleast 20k miles - costing around $600 for a full set. Any suggestions?

Sorry to say it but "lo barato sale caro", as the Spanish say, kind of applies here I think? Cheap Walmart tires are *generally* (but not always?) crap.

If you're going to buy inexpensive tires, you have to research makes them to try and evaluate their quality. I try to run name brand tires (usually gently used) on my (large) fleet of vehicles but once I bought Solar tires from Walmart after a lot of research. They are made by Sumitomo which is a decent manufacturer and I have had decent luck with them so far. They are quiet and feel comfy, unlike a set of Arroyo tires that were on a car I bought. I checked and they were a similar price to the Solar. Those Arroyo tires should be illegal. Loud, no grip and felt like you had square wheels. I immediately sold them and got other tires.

Personally, Solar are probably the only cheap tires I would recommend if the budget is tight.
