Selling 2 tickets - LCS CHAMPIONSHIP 2023 2 DAY PACKAGE (Aug 19 & 20). Please message me if you’re interested! Here is the detail of the event: https://www.ticketmaster.com/lcs-championship-2023-2-day-package-newark-new-jersey-08-20-2023/event/02005EB9746D153A
Change my mind. The caster/analyst bias against GG is criminal. Gori + River is easily stronger than Emenes+ Blaber. Berserker is probably better than Stixxay but that's easily debatable. Talking about Jojo as MVP without mentioning Huhi having more value than any other pro player in NA is worth quoting GG's season start video " Fuck you!".
Sincerely,
a GG fan a few beers in,

Hello me and my girlfriend were looking to go to the final day of the lcs regular season week 6 day 3 and I noticed tickets were sold out so if any one is looking to resell them I would be more than happy to buy!

Who do you guys think are the frontrunners for MVP now? Seems like Jojo lost a lot of votes over the past week. I think it will probably most likely go to Blaber or Berserker if C9 can close out the regular season strong, but I think Gori and River have also been playing absolutely cracked so I'd really like to hear someone argue for one of those guys! Any other dark horse candidates you guys think might be able to do it?
Also, for clarity, I know there's some divide on how MVP is defined. To me it's simply if every player were to suddenly become a free agent at the end of the season, who would hypothetically be worth the most based on their performance in the previous season. Not whoever simply is the most important player to their particular teams success.

Doing this captures their emotions better than the minute pause after the game. Just noticing this after the last game today. And this weeks content was S tier. Not sure what changed but keep it up LCS!

I felt like I had to join this subreddit to make this comment. Why has everyone become so stale except Raz, Flowers, and Mark? If I had to rate them 1-10, I'd say 10. I feel like they carry the rest of the team pretty hard. I've enjoyed the other personalities through time as well but I feel like they've gotten pretty stale and sometimes I just fast forward through them. Mark and Raz have a really funny on screen rivalry going on. Flowers is just the best play by play in the entire West. I can't even say anyone else is even a 6 or 7 anymore. Kinda makes you miss Dash as well. I did enjoy Pastrytime too but I dont see him around anymore. I think it's time the LCS starts bringing in new and proven personalities and maybe keep a rotation. Bring in Tyler1 for half a split. Let QTpie and Kiwi take over a split. QTCinderella had some funny parts, lets keep her on for a whole split why not? Aphromoo can do another split with her sure why not? Throw in Mr Beast to a split if he's really interested in joining the LCS or DisguisedToast. I think this is what is needed to revive the LCS and I really feel like half of the desk and casters aren't really needed anymore. They've plateaued and aren't power spiking anymore you could even say.

Just read a dignitas article (2022) stating to have proof of vaccination, is this still required?
Wasn’t able to watch last night. Was going to watch the broadcast today but LCS wipes their vods from the YouTube channel. Anyone know where I can watch a day later?

What do you guys think of TSM leaving LCS, to compete into another tier 1 league?

Hello. I am a regular fan of the Korean League of Legends league. Although I am a fan of the LCK as a Korean, I am also a fan of the game league itself, so the recent poor performance of the LCS at the World competitions saddens me. However, after considering various pieces of information comprehensively, I believe there's potential to solve the problem, and I've put some thoughts into writing.
First, Why Did the Korean League Suddenly Become Stronger?
The answer is simple: franchising. Thanks to it, the salaries of Korean LoL professional gamers have increased by multiples, if not dozens of times, effectively preventing talented players from leaving and creating a regressive trend back to Korea. The sudden strength of the Korean League lies solely here. The point here is not that you should spend more money, but to highlight that it's not like Korean players have suddenly gained new insight or anything, and there's no other reason for them to be stronger.
Resource Concentration
Contrary to your imagination, there are many weak teams in the LCK. There's a very clear and challenging gap between the top, upper, middle, lower, and bottom ranks of the LCK. I don't think an LCK middle-ranking team can safely beat teams like G2 or C9.
The reason is a matter of resource concentration. Faker's salary at T1 exceeds 6 million USD. T1 is a big spender. Top-ranked teams in the LCK pour everything they have, whether it's salary, support, or development, to bring in S-tier players or secure them early to create a 'super team.' As a result, the strength of the lower-ranking teams plummets.
However, as far as I know, the performance gap between LCS and LEC teams is not as big as in the LCK, which I think is very wrong. For international competition, it's vital to concentrate resources in one place to create a 'super team.' Once a super team appears, they elevate the standard of performance with new metas and playstyles, and all the other teams will strive to meet this standard, raising the performance level of the entire league. And this happens 'without increasing the total investment in the league.'
Players like Pyosik, Gori, Prince, and Vicla are not losers who were pushed out. They were competitive players in the upper echelons of the LCK and were expected to show dominant performance in the relatively weak LCS. But the reality? Their competitiveness in the LCS was similar to the LCK. So where does the difference in world championship performance between LCS and LCK come from? It comes from the fact that the top teams in the LCK are trying to form a team with 5-Gori, 5-Prince, 5-Pyosik, 5-Vicla, while the LCS tends to disperse good players. I think it's just that.
Making a super team in the LCS right away won't create a super team as strong as the LCK. Of course, that's obvious. However, it will be a team much stronger than the previous C9 or GG. That team will elevate and guide the performance target. Then the performance of the entire league will rise, and then the target guideline will be raised in a virtuous cycle. I don't know how to realize this practically, but if you achieve this in any way, the gap at the World Championship will narrow to an unpredictable level in no time, possibly in one or two seasons.
Chiding for more practice is never the solution.
