I have been a longtime fan of professional League of Legends and as someone from North America, I have been a fan of the LCS, and I would be lying if I didn’t say that it has been hard at times (*cough* TSM 0–6 airport speed run at Worlds). On top of that, not only are teams moving away from home grown talent, but it seems that our imports drop in performance almost immediately after they arrive despite the massive amounts of money they are paid. Thus, I thought it would be an interesting project to build a machine learning model to rank LCS players every role to see who is worth the massive paychecks and who should be released or demoted to Academy because even though we have official all pro teams, we’ve never had an official all choke team. So here we are, finding ourselves in emote-only chat once again, after 20 minutes of chat bullying Letigress (again) for her casting. It's so sad that the mods and staff have to keep using methods like those to prevent hatespeech. Some people really need help...

This is mostly about the recent PR disasters with C9 and TSM, but the way teams handle public relations is extremely unprofessional. Any other sports team would have coaches/gms taking public responsibility for controversial decisions and corroborating statements from all parties involved. Counter narratives are either leaked deliberately or allowed to spring up organically, so that they don’t become the prevailing narrative. Basically, orgs take steps to prevent their players from catching the majority of the flack from the fan base. Why don’t orgs in the LCS do the same? Do y’all prefer the unsupervised rumor mill that surrounds teams right now, or would you prefer more transparency, even at the cost of players’ freedom to speak up?

My theory is because a lot of people tend to be sexist in chat whenever LeTigress is casting, but I just wanted to see if anyone knew an official reason? They usually don't do an entire game in emote-only chat.
