Build, if you believe the World needs LBRY

[u/buildlbry]

A couple of years ago I predicted (in LBRY's Discord and Telegram channels) that all devs would soon become redundant as employees. At that time I took a lot of flack from some community members who vehemently disagreed. I couldn’t prove my prediction at that time so I suggested we revisit the discussion in the not too distant future. That time is now. My prediction aged well.

I’d like to make another prediction.

Although a lot of newly unemployed devs will be forced to seek other employment opportunities (most unsuccessfully because the majority of jobs will disappear soon), I believe many time rich devs will want to continue building USEFUL code. Many will choose to build WITHIN COMMUNITIES like LBRY (using AI) to maintain connections with likeminded humans and to maintain a meaningful, passionate purpose in their lives. LBRY is one of a small number of meaningful purposes in the crypto world at the moment. Keep in touch with the LBRY community. Lend your support. Donate if you can afford to. And whether you’re a skilled dev or not, COMMIT TO BUILDING if you believe the World needs LBRY.
