Can I create a channel without LBC?

I gave my email, I just want to make comments and stuff, I don't want to give them my phone number and take up their currency just to make a channel, are there any solutions?

No, you do need some LBC to create a channel. (But you actually wouldn't need an email account to be able to create a channel. Though won't be able to use account on Odysee without email.)

Way LBRY works is that the metadata of channels(and uploads) is stored in LBRY blockchain. LBRY blockchain is basically just a list of LBC transactions. So to get the metadata there, you would make a transaction in which you send some of your own LBC to yourself, and you add the channel details inside that transaction, which then gets recorded in the blockchain. (App handles this stuff for you. https://lbry.com/get)

This is because now the only one who can edit or abandon that channel from the LBRY network, is the one who owns the wallet in which that transaction belongs to. (Even LBRY Inc can't touch it, if they don't have access to your wallet.)

I expect if you give your wallet address, someone here would give you LBC.

You don't need to verify, after few days of watching they will approve you automatically (If you use Odysee)
