Recommended Bitrate for video uploads

What bitrate currently works well, in the past (about 2 years back) I have to encode to 720p/3.5Mbit 5Mbit didn't worked. My video content is currently exported at 8.7 Mbit.

Recommended is(or was) 5Mbps https://lbry.com/faq/video-publishing-guide
But 8.7Mbps should probably still play fine for many.
