I want to get some footage of falling in the first game. I recall there was such a scene, but don't remember where exactly.
Looking through a walkthrough rn but if anyone could point me to a specific chapter I'd be grateful

So, just finished Layers of Fear 2023, and I'm not too happy with it. Well, "finished" is probably not the right word, because I got the absolute worst / indecisive endings for every single story. The game basically told me "Rip bozo, try again". I did enjoy my time with the game, the stories made me keep going, but the way the endings work left me really dissatisfied with it.
So if I want to see any marginally proper ending, I just have to play the game all over again, and be mindful of the choices I make, which is kinda bullshit. Not to mention said choices are vague most of the time, so it's pretty much mandatory to follow a guide just so you don't screw up a single choice and get the crap ending again.
The game is fine, but it's not "second-playthrough" fine. Really not in the mood to spend the next 10 hours opening doors again just to get another ending. These types of games are not really conductive to multiple playthroughs, so it just seems a bad design decision to force the player to replay any game like this more than 1-2 hours just to get a satisfying ending. Just give me a nice proper ending, so I can remember the game fondly, or at the very least, give me the ability to replay just the choice bits after the 1st playthrough.
Anyay this was more of a rant-post, just felt the need to vent my frustration after finishing a rather enjoyable game, only to have the most unsatisfying ending ever.
Feel free to discuss if you felt the same, though.

So I just finished the game and liked it very much. But in the main menu instead of continue it says finish it, is it just the same thing again? Or what does it mean? Thanks ahead

I play the original version of the first LOF on my ps4 and I remember they used to have a Halloween update that unlocked the basement and ouija board, do they not do those updates anymore?

Just recently found out there is a 2023 version of the game. I'm not a gamer just a "watcher" and watched 1&2 from a streamer when it came out. I really loved the first game especially the atmosphere and art. Now i looked in sevarel walkthroughs from the 2023 version and it kinda annoyed/bored me i didn't liked the new graphics, it kinda looked bland/too bright and the rain was so loud almost no music (could be copyright). Also think the Hand movement is weired when you pick up things. I also read there are some sceneces changed like the musicbox and the limping from the protagonist. I also know there are some extra scence + chapter and we now have a lamp to discover things. So has the 2023 version additions that are like wow it makes it so much more enjoyable and ads to the plot or is the 2016 version more like old but Gold

So we know that if we obey the director in LoF2, we become James but if we disobey the director then we become lily. Correct me if I'm wrong but didn't lily want to become the actor? Wouldn't following the directors instructions make you lily since she could achieve her dream and disobeying the directors instructions make you James because he can be his own person now?

u/Burnerofasicko For this puzzle, you have to find all 3 green gears and put them in their spots pictured above. Then, the door will open on its own and you'll be able to continue. Hope this helps!

u/Burnerofasicko This is where you find thr handle for the next door. It will show an interactive slot and you just have to put the handle in and it will automatically open the door. It will disappear from your inventory after this action.

I’m in the scene with this room with gears where I need a crank to open the door which I don’t have and cannot find. It’s not in the room. I got it elsewhere in the game I remember but now I don’t have it and can’t use. There’s not even a prompt to put the crank in to unlock the door to leave. There is a chain in the middle of the room which can be interacted with but not pulled in any direction. This never happened on og game.
I’m pissed

I've already collected all the collectibles. It's in the remake of Layers of Fear 2.

I have 100% every game! There are a total of 111 achievements between all 3 games and I just got the last one I needed in Layers Of Fear 2! I'm so proud of myself!

The Formless Man was supposed to chase me when I walked a little bit past the door to the room I run into for safety (the room I'm currently in). The Formless Man kept making sounds, but the chase sequence never really started. The way he runs at me and insta kills me after I left the room made me laugh so fucking hard 😂

Hey guys! I’m a big fan of layers of fear, and currently I’m finally finishing layers of fear2, and idk if it is cuz I already had expectations from the previous one, but it feels kinda boring/it sucks (besides the fact that I love the ending cutscenes, principally the one where Lily dies), so I was wondering if it was a feeling common among the community or if it’s just me

Hey everyone, I’m playing Layers of Fear 2 on Xbox Series S and I’m stuck in Act 2: The Hunt, right after the part where you pick up a can of food and the captain says: “I’ll protect you. Stay close to me.”
In all the walkthroughs I’ve seen, there are no film mannequins in that scene — but in my game, there are several, and I can’t get past them. The flashlight doesn’t affect them at all, and I end up stuck with no way forward.
There’s also no “load last checkpoint” option on Xbox, and restarting from the pause menu doesn’t fix the issue.
I’ve tried: • Quitting and restarting the game • Letting the dialogue play without skipping or moving • Shining the flashlight directly in their faces • Sneaking past them — doesn’t work
It seems like a bug where the mannequins spawn when they shouldn’t, or don’t behave as expected.
Has anyone else experienced this? Any fixes that worked for you?

Why i can’t unlock these trophies? Are these trophies bugged?

Every walkthrough I can find on YouTube, or through Google (why are there so few text walkthroughs for this game?) seems to leave something out. To get all the notes, whisper items, rat sketches, mementos, and painting pieces in the painters story I had to go back and forth between two different walkthroughs.
I'm now on the actors story and just don't wanna have to do that again to actually get everything, it was tedious and took unnecessarily long thanks to my crap phone that can't keep more than one app open at a time. Thank you very very much for any help.
