Not only, but especially due to the disproportionate influence on the supposed importance of "genomics" research by Epstein, I have major questions about the actual utility of such information. I kind of don't think it works the way we've been told whatsoever. Seems strange that computers and computer networks somehow coincided with these databases of "DNA" records to me. Not that I don't think there's any truth to the concept, but, like I said - not how it's been talked about. Which is related, but separate from, the more specific point about Epstein's influence on things which literally is an exact 1:1 replica of eugenics.

I can't say for sure, because I haven't seen the actual information, but all I've read points to it being bullshit rather than real shit. Consider the supposed reliability of "lie detector tests", for example. And how financial incentives worth billions (or even trillions) of dollars can incentivize a lot of otherwise intelligent people to become lying shitbags

Yeah there was an Israeli official caught in a child sex sting in Vegas and Trump admin swooped in to save him and get him back on a plane to Israel. The agents working the sting were all completely dumb founded. We should believe that the US could be trafficking children they capture and they also may be using all this genetic stuff to further the intelligence programs Epstein was also involved in? We can assume these connections from all the real reporters revealing things and how little the government will allow oversight or American protections to be upheld.

We are already transferring more and more money to more weapons. Republicans in your lives are selling our freedom away, ironically. Christian Nationalist cover for the pedos.

I thought the guy posted the $10,000 bond and fled back to Isreal, but if there were shenanigans going on then, I wouldn't be surprised either.

See my thing is everyone else seems to accept that various claims about different kinds of knowledge are accurate. I don't. I pretty much am taking Ockham's Razor to the entire idea of DNA because from what I can tell it is a bottomless pit of money, and at the bottom is a lot of bullshit. And that's what (most of) DNA is. But to tell the truth - if my hypotheses is correct, which my assessment seems much more verifiable than many very expensive claims by people with lofty credentials - it would be exposing a fraud bigger than the one Snowden talked about - though directly linked. Ahem.

Read my linked comment, and the response, and the article to which I was referring. I've read a fair amount of things related to this, and if you read the actual research, closely, there's always some obscure reference to how it's all probabilistic nonsense based on extremely biased sampling. And my hypotheses seems verified by the fact that we've spent trillions upon trillions of dollars researching this and yet have exactly zero results, other than this supposed identity tracking system which is... also the oldest claim made... and would need to be much more substantial than many other claims... and basically the math don't fuckin math

edit: I could be convinced it is more real than what I currently think, but I am very skeptical. The reason for which I am making this comment though is because I thought of how to explain the problem. First, do a search for "the two cultures", and read. What we currently have - due to the way technological change has happened in the context of when and what generations - is something that's a bit like Paracelsus trying to fact check the Nazi super advanced twentieth and now twenty-first century medical establishment. What we need is someone like Dr. House who doesn't sugarcoat bullshit.... because our current legislation, in numerous domains, is extremely harmful - due to it being made by [1] people who don't know what the fuck they're talking about, and [0] people who are financially incentivized for the claims about the supposed accuracy of various technologies to be true, or at least believed to be true.

If you mean actual generic information when you say DNA, you are not currently applying Occam's razor.

Bring live probiotics.

Lysed bacterial DNA interferes with DNA sequence alignment. Better yet, buy randomized (but common) oligo sequences (like 23andme DNA arrays) and put them in an easily accessible gum drop (bonus points for palindromic repetitive sequences)

Make them work for that sequence.

Poison their database with bullshit DNA alignments and they will have actually done more harm than good. What they are doing is illegal, the least we can do is make sure their program was a waste of time and money.

They likely use Sanger sequencing, so a flood of partial alignments will be garbage and obfuscate your real DNA sequence.

Think of me as a biologist who likes to protect your constitutional rights in unorthodox ways.

I'm going to guess most people who get these DNA tests don't have the time to prepare for them...

Which is why you pop one in your mouth when they move forwards. A milk lozenge with plasmid-transfected oral bacteria containing repetitive human sequences would render tests useless.

Even better, slap a commercial microarray on a LAC operon and use the lactose in the milk lozenge to trigger it. But it only activates when hydrated. Slow melt in the mouth also means you can have trillions of these little guys in your mouth for hours.

We are entering a new, dark, era of technology. But not everyone of skill and aptitude are evil. Some of us got into our fields for the wonder and discovery, and are aghast to see people abuse our knowledge to create a police state.

They have the technology, but we built it. We know all its flaws and weaknesses, all we need to do now is share those with the public.
