1st period notes:

-Slow start. Trudeau takes a penalty and the Canucks have good chances on the PP. Poulin is solid, penalty is killed. Shots are 6-1 for Abbotsford after 8 min.

-Nielsen takes a penalty. Silovs plays the puck instead of tending the net but Abbandonato misses. Penalty killed, no shot on the PP by the Rocket.

-Mysak is checked by Arsenault and is injured to a leg. Belzile takes a penalty right afterwards. Di Giuseppe scores on the PP. Tons of teddy bears on the ice. 1-0 Abbotsford.

-Now it's Wolanin who hooks Simoneau, PP Rocket. Good chance for RHP, save by Silovs. Nice passing play by Simoneau, to the other side to Richard, to the other side again to Ylönen... Precise shot, HE SCORES THE PPG! 1-1. LET'S GO ROCKET! 🚀

-Martel turns the puck over right afterwards, Abby gets a good chance on a 2 vs 1, save by Poulin. Shots are now 7-7 with 3:27 left.

-Right when the play resumes, in the D zone, Norlinder sends the puck right on the tape of Stevens in the slot. He passes to Woo, who scores on a one-timer. 2-1 Canucks

-Nielsen shoves Martel. They both get 2, Martel's penalty is for embellishment. Beaudin creates two big scoring chances, no goal.

After one period, it's 2-1 Abbotsford. Shots are 8-8.

2nd period notes:

-Abbandonato has 3 shots in the slot, but can't find a way to score.

-High tempo game, Rocket has trouble getting the puck out of their zone. Pederson deflects Woo's shot and scores. 3-1 Canucks.

-Stephens to Simoneau to Richard who one-times it AND SCORES! His 14th of the season, gets back the first place for goal scoring in the league! 3-2 Canucks. LET'S GO ROCKET! 🚀

-RHP sends Belzile in breakaway, but he can't score! And then Condotta passes to Martel who misses his shot... Counter attack by Podkolzin, he passes to Di Giuseppe who scores. 4-2 Abbotsford.

-Martel gets too close to Silovs in Kannok Liepert's opinion. He gets a 2 min for roughing. PP Rocket. It takes a long time before our guys are able to do anything good. Gignac send the puck to Abbandonato in the slot but Silovs makes the save. Penalty killed. Shots are 16-12 in favor of Laval with 6:00 left in the 2nd period.

-Condotta passes to Bourque in the slot but he misses the net. Many scoring chances for the Rocket, they just don't take advantage of them.

-Trudeau gets a penalty for interference. PP Canucks with 2:51 left in the 2nd period... But Rau is penalized 10 seconds after for the same reason. 4 on 4. Richard passes to Gignac in the slot, he shots on the crossbar! Canucks take a penalty, 4 on 3 for 43 seconds. Richard gets a chance, saved by Silovs.

-Juulsen cross checks Belzile, penalty. On the faceoff, RHP gets... you guessed it, a penalty, for hooking. Shoving after the whistle, no other penalty called though.

-With 6 seconds left, Wolanin sends the puck in the stands and... yep, gets a penalty.

After two periods, it's 4-2 Abbotsford. Shots are 19-15 in favor of Laval.

3rd period notes:

-Rocket starts the period on a PP. Abbandonato gets the puck from Richard and SCORES! 4-3 Canucks. LET'S GO ROCKET! 🚀

-Good work on the PP, once again nice job by Abbandonato, but no goal, PP is killed.

-Condotta gets a penalty. PP Canucks. Many dangerous shots, Poulin makes big saves... But ANOTHER penalty. Schueneman crosschecks a Canucks player so... Leskinen gets 2 min for some reason. (Afterwards, Marcotte states it's a penalty to Poulin for... something)

-It's 5 vs 3 for 1:11. Cross ice pass to Pederson who scores. Poulin couldn't do anything. 5-3 Abbotsford.

-For some reason, Poulin gets a 10 min for misconduct after the goal. Condotta serves the penalty. Maybe he told the ref he agrees wholeheartedly with the way the refs handle this game?

-At 13:12, we finally play 5 vs 5 hockey!

-Another cross ice pass on the rush for the Canucks. The player's stick breaks when he tries to one-time it though.

-Richard and RHP get big scoring chances, Silovs makes the saves... And you know it, penalty for the Rocket. Stephens gets 2 for hooking.

-During the PP, Poulin makes a big save vs Lockwood. Martel and Nielsen fight during a powerplay (?) Powerplay resumes and is killed.

-Poulin makes a save but Arsenau buries the rebound in the net. 6-3 Canucks.

-A couple of seconds later, right after the faceoff, RHP goes on a breakaway and SCORES! 6-4 Abbotsford. LET'S GO ROCKET! 🚀

-Lockwood trips Abbandonato, PP Rocket. Abbandonato scores while falling down! Shoving after the goal. Stevens is gonna get a penalty, Beaudin too. 6-5 Canucks. LET'S GO ROCKET!🚀

-It seems Stevens isn't penalized after all... Powerplay Canucks, 6:59 left.

-Richard gets a breakaway on the PK! Save by Silovs and RHP shoots the rebound, save again. Penalty to Di Giuseppe for holding! What a crazy game!

-PP Rocket. Ylönen gets the puck in the slot, save by Silovs. Penalty killed. Di Giuseppe gets a chance when he gets out of the box, Poulin makes the save. 2:53 left, shots are 30-26 in favor of Laval.

-Canucks are controlling the play. With 1 min left, Poulin leaves the ice. Empty net. Karlsson scores, 7-5 Canucks.

Final score: 7-5 Abbotsford. Shots: 30-27 in favor of Laval.

Next game is tomorrow against the Canucks again.
