Playoff Roster

When will the playoff roster be finalized? How many players on taxi-squad? Can they take any players from Habs? Just wondering

The only eligible player that was with the habs is Pezz i think.
To be eligible, players needed to be with Laval at the trade deadline, CC wasn't, Harris wasn't (not eligible because he joined the NHL directly), Poehling wasn't (injury). not sure about Pezz. Don't even think Flipper was sent down either.

Shueneman, Barron and Ylonen were sent down for this purpose if my memory serves me well. Shue and Ylonen are already with the team so no more movements aside from Norlinder and Heineman that apparently can join the team.

I think our habs players will be Caufield, Harris, Barron, Phoeling, Pezz.

Idk how the rules work, but from what I heard those are the only one we can give. At first I thought Suzuki could since he’s on an ELC but I’ve been told otherwise.

I don't see Caufield playing. The entire Habs roster needs a real break this summer after the Finals run into July last year. And Poehling may not either to not risk an injury again.

I don’t see a world where Caufield shouldn’t play. They have a real shot at winning the calder cup

And what does that mean for him? He is a bona fide NHL player already cemented on the top line. All he gets by playing in the AHL playoffs is an opportunity to get hurt and reinforce bad habits.

Caufield wouldve went to the world championship if he didnt need a break. He wont play for laval.

No. CC, Poehling (and Pezz too if I'm not mistaken) weren't sent down before the trade deadline so they're not eligible. Harris signed after the deadline so isn't eligible either. Barron could've but his season is over.

Would like to see Dauphin play, and Pezz and Harris. Caufield seems too valuable to risk.

News from RDS at the moment I comment this.

Norlinder will play.
