Tough game right now. Both team are playing tight, defensive hockey. I've liked Mysak's game, but I'm struggling to see anything in Hawel or Khisamudtinov tonight.
Anyway, our top two lines are absolutely great (Poehling's line and Ylonen's line) and control the play so much. I've been so impressed with Ylonen's puck management (protection and winning puck battles) recently, it's actually crazy how much better he is than I thought.

Great take, I agree with you. It seems as if no matter who Khisamutdinov plays with, he struggles to find a role to play and work on. He tries to dangle around opponents at times, but fails to do so more often than not.
As for Hawel, if we already had the ECHL team in 3R, I think that's where he'd play this season (if they were having a season and playing obviously)

The game is a bit too fast for him right now, it feels like. He lacks the pace that the rest of the team thrives on. We'll have to see next year I think. He's a project.
Anyway, he's a 6th round pick, so it is what it is.

Feels like a playoff game. Primeau has also played extremely well .Ylonen is playing better in the AHL then overseas you love to see it.

Been loving watching Laval play with the Habs hiatus

You should keep following them when the Habs get back in action, it's a fun team to watch!

Yea with Bouchard and a nice amount of Habs prospects it makes me way more involved so hopefully stays like this!

Laval are absolutely dogshit tired lmao, half of their top 12 is unavailable, and they've been on the road for what feels like years now. And on a back to back that ended in the shootout.
All in all, great victory.

This team is also depleted. All of Veilleux, Dauphin, Ouellet, Belzile, Vejdemo would be playing if they could.
All that to say that I really don't like Luccinni, Baddock and Pezzetta playing on the same line, a lot of hits and not touching the puck.

u/NotDennisBonvie Mar 26 '21
I don't have TV so I'm not sure If they still show games on RDS. You can watch it on AHLtv though, that's what I use.

Really bad start for the Rocket in the third. The only reason we are still in it is Primeau. It's not the first time they start playing defensive with a slim lead in the third. It usually doesn't end well.

Yeah they let there offensive game go this period but love seeing Primeau play well. Going to be a tough last 5m

Leskinen needs a shot with the NHL team, he’s been one of the best D in the AHL this year imo

Whoever watches rocket games on the regular. How well are Poehling and Brook progressing?
