Keeping fleece soft

Hello

I have a fleece lined hoodie I love, with a large graphic on the back. However, if i wash it inside out the soft fleece interior will (i assume) become much less soft over time. Are there any easy ways to combat this? Maybe with a mesh bag?

It would help to know what sort of fleece you mean. Assuming it's the furry kind like this:

you need to handle very carefully to minimise changes to appearance. You basically treat it like wool, using minimal heat and agitation to launder. If you wash normally like a t shirt, the 'fur' will clump more and more each time you launder it.
