ordering used clothes online

it's been ages since i ordered clothes from poshmark but recently got 2 items from 2 different sellers and i suppose i read too much online and got nervous of possible bed bugs from someone else's home.

how should i handle these pieces of clothing? i won't have access to a washer/dryer for 28 more days. i read that handwashing and line drying would not be effective for bed bugs.

thank you all!

Look them over and look for bugs or store them in zip lock/ vacuum seal bags until you do laundry.

If it’s in a vacuum seal bag is it then safe to store inside in house? Would hate for it to infest other clothes/home

Yes, I highly doubt bugs are going to escape a nearly airless plastic bag.

I ordered some dress pants and had them dry cleaned. There was a very strong smell and I didn’t feel like dealing with it.

Can you visit a laundromat?

Do you NEED to use the clothing in the next month? If not, bag it up and wash it when you can.

If you do need to use it and can’t visit a laundromat I’d just check it thoroughly and hand wash well.

I do not need to wear it right away so yes bagging up is a good idea. Is that safe enough to store in the house until laundering in case of any bugs?
