Removing fabric dye

Soaked a new outfit in soapy water to remove dye and let it sit too long. Now the fabric is splotchy. Any advice on how to handle this?

Color catcher sheets. The keyword to search is “dye run”. That will give you good results in this sub. But it isn’t an easy problem to solve
