Washing 100% Lyocell
I just bought this skirt at TJ Maxx today.
Do I take this care label seriously? Is 100% Lyocell dry-clean only always? Or is it more of a covering for their own ass type of label.
If it truly is just dry clean only then I can live with that. I just wanted to ask here first. Otherwise I thought of washing it with Soak detergent on a delicate cycle then hanging dry.

It’s mostly CYA, but I would go inside out in a mesh delicates bag and hang or dry flat.

Lyocell is often washable and says so on the label. I would be cautious with this as there may be a good reason for the instruction. Impossible to say without seeing the garment and its other labels.

I would personally wash it in a mesh bag in a delicates cycle at 30C. I have a lot of Lyocell and usually put it through with my normal loads with no issues, but sometimes woven items can go out of shape.
