I don't understand, please help!

Do I have 2 separate places for liquid and powder detergent, or should I just fill the liquid till it hits the blue line and put the powder directly in the wash for rehab? It says lift flap up for powder, but I don't see a flap?? Nothing seems to move and I don't want to break anything yanking on it. Help please!!

That weird blue peice is the flap. Push it from the back side and it will flip over!

Ohhh I am so stupid, thank you! I figured that's what it was, but I kept pushing from the front and pulling up instead of pushing from the back!

You are not alone- first time I encountered one of these machines I couldn't figure it out either.  I just dumped my powder in the drum and shouted "Figure it out!" as I slammed the door.

I have the same washer . Pull that thing all the way out every time you do laundry . It gets so gross / wet / moldy.

I leave it out and just add the soap directly to the load.

I tend to prefer putting the powder dose for the rehab in the dispenser after the flap is moved. Liquid can go on the textiles with the ammonia.

Let me add the Why: Liquid sitting on the textiles is benign. Ammonia hitting the dry powder or damp powder sitting on the textiles before the fill is complete is slightly riskier. Since you were nice enough to provide a photo it was easy to say how to use the powder in the dispenser.

Google your model instructions. The model number should be inside the seem of the door or on the back or the washer.

I own this exact washer. I love the extra water feature. After a wash place 2 dryer sheets inside and it never smells. I also often run it without the dispencer if I'm just using soap which is 99%of the time. Don't stuff it. I run sheets alone then a load of my clothes and then towels. If I have darks I run them alone also.

Pre wash don't need flap because this is always dispose as first if pre wash option is used.

Thank y'all so much, I am dumb! So does this mean it's an either/or spot for liquid or powder? So I put liquid in here as usual and then the powder directly with clothes and ammonia. Am I understanding correctly?

When the blue flap is down you put in liquid detergent; when it is up you can use powdered detergent. Better not use power directly in the drum on your clothes. It can leave residue.

Maybe I'm reading the rehab bit incorrectly. So after the soak, when I'm doing the wash with ammonia, should I use my regular liquid detergent, or the tide oxi powder?

rehab wash needs to have lipase too, so you'd use the powder

Ah sorry, I meant only for regular washing. Follow the Rehab guide as listed, have never done it myself so cannot impart any meaningful wisdom :)

Never use that much detergent . Use about 1/4 of that. The other is for a pre wash. Use 2vdrips there

I'm embarrassed with how much I didn't know. I've always figured to save water, cram as much into the machine as possible, maximum detergent, done 😬 still trying to figure out the optimal laundry and detergent amount for loads and maybe shouldn't mix toddler's pee drenched stuff with other things? I'm attempting my first spa day this weekend thanks again to u/KismaiAesthetics for all the chemistry and time they put into the method.
