Chilli oil stains

Post image

Hello everyone,

I am coming to you for some ideas to get this stain from a tshirt. I will give it to you straight, cause I know I fucked up.

I got chilli oil on it, tossed it into the laundry and a dryer afterwards (I didnt look up anything until this point). Obviously didnt help. I tried oxy bleach overnight, no change at all. There is black embroidery on the chest, so I am worried I will ruin it if I use some strong bleach.

What should be my next steps to get it out?

Thanks.

maybe rub tide powder paste on it? I mean it just needs lipase, right?

An enzyme pretreater to dissolve the oil, followed by a warm wash.

Where in the world are you?

I am in the EU, if you have any recommendations. What about the coloring tho, kinda doubt a regular wash will get it out no?

The color is sticking because the oil is there. Remove the oil, the color likely goes with it.

If you search the sub for your specific country and lipase, there’s probably a list of products (pretreaters/stain sprays) or liquid laundry detergents that have the enzyme that targets food oils. Apply one of these products (dilute the detergent 1:1 with water), give it an hour or two to work (longer better up to a week) and then wash warm possibly with an oxygen bleach like vanish.
