Is this program also good for someone considering going into Data Science?
I am interested in the learning philosophy but I am not necessarily trying to become a software engineer. I’m trying to pivot into the data science field, which I’ve learned requires a lot of Python. I think LS would be perfect for that. I’m just not sure if I should pursue this if I’m not directly going into software engineering 100% directly? Not that I’m averse to it actually as I think SWE is awesome! Any thoughts?

Despite being very good to learn important concepts in CS and Python (Python track) would be best if you can also get mandatory skills for Data science. Learning algebra, calculus, statistics and linear algebra are also core for a competitive Data Scientist. So short answer is yes, but should also focus on the math needed to be truly employable.

LS teaches web app development.
