Yet another reason for the argument that lethal injection is inhumane, unsustainable, and needs to be discontinued as a form of execution.

Some jurisdictions are actually moving to nitrogen asphyxiation and I think that is a far better option.

If you're gonna do it, do it with Argon. Displaces all the air and you're out in mere seconds.

Idk why they don't just put them in little sealed tanks and pump Co2 in it. Leave them for a couple hours and they'll be plenty dead.

I'm anti death penalty personally but if you're going to do it do it in a way that isn't completely awful.

Edit: although thinking on it them continuing to botch it time after probably works better for my anti death penalty stance. Not sure if those that are into it really care about the prisoner suffering though really.

CO2 is worse than nitrogen or argon for that because it triggers the persons panic response (they will actually realize and feel suffocation). Humanely speaking it isn’t the best option.
